Overview

Drawing is an important part of the ideation process as you develop your designs. This course will teach you how to sketch out selected types of bags in proportion and detail including its components. At the same time, you will learn how to identify iconic bags and take key points of measurements which will enable you to develop your own bag designs from there. This course will perform as a foundational entry into design drawing for bag design. Funding Period: 1st March 2021 to end Feb 2024

Objectives
  • Identify bag components and hardware.
  • Determine fundamentals and methods of bag sketching as per industry norms.
  • Sketch various bag styles using the given specifications.
  • Add technical specifications and key measurements to the developed sketches.
  • Evaluate the bag technical sketches in accordance with given samples and measurements.
  • Identify different types of stitches from functional to embellishments.

Admissions

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

Aged 16 years and above

 and 2

GCE 'O' Level with minimum grade C6 for 3 subjects, including English and Mathematics OR WSQ Advanced Certificate OR WSQ ES WPLN Level 5 and above

 and 3

ALL Students are required to have basic digital literacy, knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office

Graduation

To graduate, you must fulfil the following requirements

1

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module

 and 2

Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments

International Students

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

1

Aged 16 years and above

 and 2

IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL 600

 and 3

High School Diploma equivalent to GCE 'O' Level with minimum grade C6 for 3 subjects, including English and Mathematics

 and 4

ALL Students are required to have basic digital literacy, knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office

Graduation

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module. Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required

FAQs

We highly discourage you from missing any classes since the entire program is designed to be hands-on intensive. There is also a minimum attendance requirement of 75% of training hours for Singaporean and PRs, and 90% of training hours for international students. If you do not meet the 75% attendance requirement, you will not be eligible to enjoy subsidies nor to sit for the assessment. Make sure you block off your time during your training with us or find an intake option that will ensure you do not miss any classes. You will only wish that you had more time in the class!
