Overview

In this bundle of 5 courses, participants will be taught to draft, sew and finish a classic shirt, classic pants and half-lined blazer while also learning advanced manipulation techniques of bottoms and tops.

This particular intake bundle is aimed at trainees who are able to commit to an eventual 6-month apprenticeship with The Cutting Room 1982. Trainees who are not able to commit to this apprenticeship will be given a second priority for this programme.

Furthermore, this bundle is for students who have not yet taken any of the 5 courses with us. Students who have taken any of the 5 modules will also be given second priority to this bundle. TaF.tc will be opening up more slots for single modular students nearer to the start date of the course where possible.

This course provides a foundation of drafting a top with sleeves and collar details at an advance level. Participants will understand the pattern development of tops with relation of styles and ease allowance; leaners will also learn how to draft according to body measurements/ size specifications as well as to the process of checking and finalization of the top patterns using the proper techniques and approaches adopted by the apparel industry.

Certificate Issuance

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded TaF.tc's Certificate of Completion for Men's Classic Shirt, Men's Classic Pants, and Men's Blazer. Students will also be awarded the Statement of Attainment (SOA).

Yes! You can use any SkillsFuture Credits you have to pay for course fees.

We do not offer any make-up or replacement classes.

We highly discourage you from missing any classes since the entire program is designed to be hands-on intensive. There is also a minimum attendance requirement of 75% of training hours for Singaporean and PRs, and 90% of training hours for international students. If you do not meet the 75% attendance requirement, you will not be eligible to enjoy subsidies nor to sit for the assessment. Make sure you block off your time during your training with us or find an intake option that will ensure you do not miss any classes. You will only wish that you had more time in the class!
