Advanced Draping

In Shingo Sato's Advanced Draping, participants will learn Shingo Sato's signature Transformational Reconstruction (TR) technique, which allows designers to create innovative and complex designs with ease. Students will work with fabric and mannequins to create their own unique designs. With Sato's guidance, they will learn how to create dynamic pleats, folds, and drapes that add dimension and depth to their designs. Whether you are a seasoned fashion designer, pattern maker or 3D Fashion Designer, if you are looking to expand your skills, Advanced Draping offers a unique opportunity to explore the art of fashion design in a new and exciting way. Admission Requirements
Singaporean or Singapore PR
  • Aged 16 years and above

  • Course fee funding eligibility : SCs and PRs (Self-sponsored individuals must be at least 21 years old)

  • GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR WSQ ES WPLN Level 5 and above

  • All students must also be competent or possess equivalent skills and knowledge for the following competencies:

    • Basic Draping OR

    • Basic Drafting and Sewing OR

    • Drafting and Sewing: Tops OR

    • Drafting and Sewing: Bottoms

International Students
  • Aged 16 years and above

  • High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basis OR Pass TaF.tc Entrance Test AND

  • English Language Requirement – Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL score 46 AND

  • All students must also be competent or possess equivalent skills and knowledge for the following competencies:

    • Basic Draping OR

    • Basic Drafting and Sewing OR

    • Drafting and Sewing: Tops OR

    • Drafting and Sewing: Bottoms

Graduation Requirements
Singaporean or Singapore PR
  • 75% attendance rate of total training hours per module

  • Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments

International Students
  • 75% attendance rate of total training hours per module. Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required.

  • Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments
